Cant download NVIDIA ForceWare 163.44 Driver

I installed Gears of War onto my laptop with no problems, however when i started it, it gave me a message saying i needed to install 'nVidiaforceware 163.44'. I downloaded and attemped to install the 163.44 driver from various locations (websites), however every time the installation starts it gives me a message saying it couldn't find any drivers compatible with what i was installing. Then when it exits, Vista then gives me the option to re-start the installation on recommended settings. When i do so a new error message comes up saying the installation requires a Windows Vista 32-bit operating system, then exits. But i'm running on a Windows Vista 32-bit operating system. Can somebody give me a link to an nVidiaforceware 163.44 driver download compatible with my laptop specs or some advise on how to approach the problem.
My laptop specs:
Manufacturer:HP
model:HP Pavillion dv9000
processer:Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0Ghz
memory ram: 2046 MB (2 Gigs)
operating system:Windows Vista Home Premium
gpu:nVidia Geforce 8600M GS 256MB

NVIDIA does not control the schedule the various notebook and laptop providers use to release new drivers for their products.

NVIDIA is NOT allowed to directly distribute drivers for the vast majority of Notebook and Laptop computers.

The only way to get updates for NVIDIA laptop or notebook graphics cards is though the notebook provider.

Looks like you can only use the OEM drivers

you don't have a video card but a video chip
these drivers NVIDIA ForceWare 163.44 Driver are for a card only

set a restore point before installing

alright the problem is that Nvidia did not make the card technically hp modified it and to solve this problem go here

Gears of war says it need 163.44 this is 169.09
Download it and extract it wit 7 zip then go here

follow the instructions and i believe u dont need the modified inf because it comes wit it automatically
