HP video problems
I have an HP Pavilion DV8000 and the video is messing up. It comes up all green and streaky. I can wiggle the monitor screen and press the bottom around the outer hinges and it will straighten up but then go all jiggly again. It's almost like a dirty connection or loose connection but how would I go about cleaning or tightening the video connection between the screen and the computer?

Re: HP video problems
get hold of the service manual to guide you in the disassembly. check the LCD connection to the motherboard.
as per your description, it could be the cable connection of the LCD to the motherboard. if your video card is not integrated, reseat your video card, you may need to reapply thermal paste (like with the heatsink and CPU) but i am not sure of this.. check your service manual for the removal and replacement instructions.
