Toshiba Satellite L100 in hibernate mode

I was too late in plugging in my external power supply and the computer went into hibernate mode.
Now I can not get it out of that mode. The screen remains black when I press the power key.
It seems my only option may be to wait for how ever long it takes for the battery to run down and then try to turn the machine on.
Any other suggestions??

hi,

screen remains black but do you hear the system start up (fans spin, etc.)? any of the LEDs light up before and after your hit Power ON button?

try removing the RAM, the battery and unplug AC. press power ON button for 30 sec or more. attach battery and plug AC but leave the RAM. then power ON as normal.
