Hi. I have a Dell D610 Laptop. When it is picked up it turns off (Sometimes) and will not come on again until the psu is pluged in. Also when put down it turns off. Any Suggestions why it does this? . Kind Regards

Re: Dell D610 Laptop Cuts Out

hi Dellkid1,

correct me if my understanding is wrong.. but to me it only happens when running on batteries and the laptop is being moved.

if my understanding is correct, remove the battery and run on AC adapter alone. try to do the things that used to turn it OFF when on batteries (i.e. pick up and put down activities).

please give more details and a clearer explanation of the problem. Quoted above is from your original post. i ask this because it only happen 'sometimes'. so i understand it as very intermittent but one thing for sure, it is noticed to happen if battery is plugged in.
