AcerC314xmi 100GB HD partitoned at 45GB
Hi everybody. I discovered your Form while searching for information about my Tablet PC. I discovered that my HD was partitioned into 45GB C:\ and D:\ drives. While I was backing up my data on a new WD 500GB USB external drive, somehow the 8GBs on my C:\ was filled to 31.7GB with balance as free space. I only have a few files on the D:\ which I removed to WD. I have been trying to move some of the files placed on C: to allow more free space and determine how all these extra files were placed on my C:\ instead of the WD USB drive. I had selected backup all data and create a reboot file to go to the WD drive. Unfortunately I did not get the CD in the drive before the program asked for it, so the backup copy stayed on the C:\ drive. I sent this to the WD drive, but I still had now 33GB ofcontent on C:\ drive. I found one of my folders had 31GB in it and tried to copy it to WD drive, but found the file already on WD drive or are they just short cuts? Here is my first string of questions. I believe in what you are doing and thank you for your conviction to others with your knowledge. Thks: Needinput

Re: AcerC314xmi 100GB HD partitoned at 45GB
it could be the copy when you sent it to the WD drive previously. what function did you use initially to send the folder from C: to the WD drive (copy, move, cut and paste, etc). if you used copy/paste then you still have the original folder in C:.
