Bugcode_usb_driver

I HAVE TOSHIBA INTEL CENTRINO LAPTOP WITH WINDOWS XP SP2 HOME EDITION. RECENTLY I HAD BSoD TWICE WITH THIS ERROR MESSAGE:

BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER
STOP: 0X000000FE(0X00000002,0XF9DAE008,0XF9DAF6D8,0X811C2C98)
BEGINNING DUMPING OF PHYSICAL MEMORY...

NOW AFTER THIS I'M UNABLE TO BOOT MY PC NEITHER IN NORMAL MODE NOR IN SAFE MODE. I USED TO CONNECT MY NOKIA N72 USING DATA CABLE FOR INTERNET CONNECTION & THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED WHILE DOING IT. BUT THE USB DEVICE IS NOT A NEW ONE.
I HAVE BEEN RUNNING ALL THE MS UPDATES ON MY LAPTOP.
I'M NOT SO COMPUTER SAVVY. KINDLY HELP ME FIX THIS PROBLEM.

Re: Bugcode_usb_driver

hi,

try doing a repair of Windows. once you get Windows running uninstall the USB drivers. MS updates may not be compatible with the USB drivers thus the BSOD. observe Windows behavior without the USB drivers, install them one at a time, observing if BSOD will return.
