OS: Windows Vist Home Premium
|
I bought an Alienware M9700 laptop with windows vista home premium on it a few months back and up until about 4 days ago everything was fine, now when i try to log off it just doesn't seem to complete it just sits on the log off screen with the little ring spinning, i've tried to just leave it, last time was 1hr 30min, and nothing changed, was still doing the same thing, i tried repairing windows and that didn't help at all, the only way i can get it to shut down is i have set my power button to hibernate and i have to press this, wait for it to turn off then press it again, which i then get the resuming windows screen which then goes to the log off screen again, only its there about 3 seconds then proceeds to the shut down screen and the laptop turns off...
My laptop has: AMD Turion 64 2.4Ghz processor 2Gb of ram, Dual 512Mb graphics cards 150Gb HDD if that helps at all, thanks :D |
