Toshiba satellite L40 wont read some disks

Hi my laptop is really annoying me, i like playing games on my laptop and have purchased a few which my laptop disk drive wont read them, the buzzing sounds starts a few times and then stops and on my computer option there is nothing there. This is puzzling me as it will read some game disks and dvds.

Please help me if you can

hi suzwana,

is the problem your disk drive (hard drive) or you DVD/CD drive? if it is the CD/DVD drive, make sure that it is clean (do the basics first). if you are sure of that, remove the CD/DVD drive and test it on another computer via a USB drive enclosure.
