yes. you need to clear the cmos on your system board to clear all boot passwords. keep in mind this clears all settings in the bios to factory default, but this will do the trick. Hope this helps!

turn the computer off
remove the power lead from the back take the side off remove the cmos battery move the cmos jumper from pins 1 and 2 to pin 2 and 3 and the back to pins 1 and 2 replace the battery put the side on replug in the power lead boot the computer

on page: 6-51 of the service manual, shows how to remove the RTC battery (Cmos) which after about 5-10 mins, will reset the system to factory defaults. here is the link: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&ct=re...zHst3cnkv3hO3A I really hope this does the trick. Good luck!

if you do not state in the first post it is a laptop it is assumed it is a desktop and you will receive instructions for a desktop
which sometimes can agravate the problem
