System Restore
Syestem restore has never worked once since I got my lappy, even although I've tried to do it a gazillion times.
I'm having other troubles with my puter and to be able to do a system restore would be a great help. Could there be a setting set or something that is stopping it do the operations? When the blue line comes on, it just shoots across to the other side, as though there was nothing in the computer. Clutching at straws here I think.

Re: System Restore
Try this. Go to start and run. Type in sfc /scannow and hit enter or clicl ok.
This will check the XP files to make sure none are missing or damaged. You need to put the XP cd in your optical drive to run this.
