HP Conexant drivers not working

My Laptop is not allowing my microphone to work. The driver is conexant HD audio. I have tried rolling back but doesn't work, tried newest drivers doesn't work. It use to work, mic is fine, it is the computer, it is imperative that the sound-input functions become operational.

Thanks!

When you say "rolling back" do you mean the driver or a system restore ?

Maybe you installed something that changed your sound setup ? If you can't remember doing that & you have not performed sys restore you could try to do a Windows system restore to just before it started acting up.
