HP DV6700 upgradability
okay i just got this notebook as a replacement from insurance for my last one which kicked the bucket.
the problem is the processors too darn slow for me! when insurance came through they gave me a choice of some toshiba satellite with integrated graphics card.... no thanks. or this one HP DV6700. I havnt been able to find a straight answer on if the processor is upgradable. if it is then what should i look for in a new processor compatability-wise? new notebook: Windows Vista HP Pavilion DV6700 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU T5450 @ 1.66 1.67 nVidia Geforce 8400M GS 254mb 250 gb SATA (really 220 with a 12.5 as a backup. nice) 3GB RAM also if anyone knows off the top of their head what else is upgradable that would be great but my main concern is the processor. thanks! |

Re: HP DV6700 upgradability
hi,
do you know your chipset? is it Intel PM965? EDIT: Go to this page: http://compare.intel.com/pcc/default...&culture=en-US and highlight your Intel Chipset then click Compare. It will give you the supported processors..
