Can anyone help me with my audio driver?
I have a SONY notebook Model PCG-TR5AP, I recently reformatted the computer, now I can't get the volume to work. I went to the Sony site to check for the driver, but it was not available. Anybody, PLEASE!!!!

Re: Audio Driver Vaio PCG-TR5AP

Well did u get a CD with your notebook ?

if u did they should be drivers for it on that

another option is to have have a look under device manager and see if all your drivers are there and are working fine. and if they are there just try to update them

Have you tried each one? I think it's the Control Device Driver but I am not sure.

Re: Audio Driver Vaio PCG-TR5AP

OK after a few weeks of searching I finally figured this out - and since this is the first result on google I figure i'd post here and hopefully other people can find this post
for audio + other PCG-TR5AP drivers go here :
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computin...GB&m=PCG-TR5MP
and click on + download the original drivers package
extract and go to the AudioAdi_AD1981B folder, double click setup.exe
that's it - sony usa are complete pigs to charge people for a "recovery dvd" when sony europe has the drivers/utilities right there (PCG-TR5MP = UK version of USA's PCG-TR5AP)

Re: Audio Driver Vaio PCG-TR5AP

I figure I'll post the graphics card driver too for reference
http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...=7005&lang=eng
the graphics card is the Intel 855 GM
there is also an update for the wireless available, I don't have the direct link but it will auto-detect it at :
http://www.intel.com/support/detect.htm
let me know if there are any drivers or utilities you cant find

Re: Audio Driver Vaio PCG-TR5AP

Since I just did a fresh install of xp sp3 another tip for those having trouble
the last ? you will have in device manager will be an unkown usb device
that is actually your camera, download the drivers from the link in post 8 and extract,
go to device manager, right click the ? and go to upgrade driver, do the don't search i'll choose and then click have disk, naviage to the CameraCaptureDriver folder and click on sonyvcc.inf
if you also go to the link in 8 and choose utilities, it will install sony network smart capture where you can take pictures with the cam.
I haven't actually gotten the camera to work (all I see is black), but I think this is because my camera is broken and not a driver issue
