Random freezing
My computer has been randomly freezing for about 2 months now. At first i thought it was a software problem, probably a driver related thing, and i didnt much look into it. But recently I got more annoyed because it would freeze in the middle of doing work with Microsoft word and i lost everything. My first instinct was to reinstall windows. So, i did, but the problem remained.
My computer just randomly freezes and i cannot move the mouse, and my fan's start throttling to full speed. This usually happens when I am doing something with switching windows, or opening new programs, or stuff like that. It never happens when I have one window open and doing things there. At first I thought this may be a processor overheating problem, but i doubt it now because I tested a processor stress test, and i ran it for quite some time without problems. It never happens when i am simply away from the computer and it is on. Where do i go from here? I dont get any error, just a frozen screen and i cant do anything. |

Re: Random freezing
Sorry for posting in the wrong section!
the program does not work, probably because my computer is not a Dell. I am also almost certain that dust is not the problem because i clean it often. I know when my computer does actually overheat, it doesnt lock up, but it shuts down completely. I really dont know what the problem might be, thats why I came here. I tried all the obvious things like maybe it was temperature problem, or driver problem, but nothing. |
