external monitor flicker
My LCD external monitor (Hanns-G HW173D) flickers horizontally when connected to my laptop (Dell Inspiron 5100). When I run the laptop on battery, the flicker disappears, monitor looks great.
I have tried plugging the monitor and laptop into all combinations of different outlets and surge protectors (same strip, different strips, different outlets, etc). No luck. The monitor cord is plugged into VGA on both ends because my laptop doesn't have DVI. It looks like electrical interference, but LCDs aren't supposed to be susceptible to that. The monitor is plug-and-play. Any suggestions? |
