Hi diver94

Welcome to TSF

Did you managed to get into the safe mode by pressing the F8 or able to get into BIOS?

Re: Dell Inspiron 1520 screen

hi diver94,

just a suggestion if you have a bootable CD like a linux live CD (Ubuntu or PCLinuxOS) or the XP/Vista installation CD, try booting from it. See if you get screen past the Dell Logo. If this still does not work, remove your HDD and try again.

EDIT:
have you tried running HDD diagnostics on your hard drive? if done and diags found no errors, try the steps here to repair Vista installation http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tuto...torial148.html

Re: Dell Inspiron 1520 screen[MOVED FROM WINDOWS]

Ok

Just send it to the original manufacturer if its still under warranty, as you should be entitled to the free repair and replacement

Just keep us updated about the issue then
