Re: Can not start

Please provide more information. How old is the laptop? Do you know if you have any warrant or not?

Re: Can not start

sometimes it is caused by a power ON switch going BAD. the one the you see (on the bezel within the area of the keyboard) when you open the laptop is just an interface to the actual switch on the motherboard. may be age or oxidation has caused the switch to fail. or may be the power ON button (interface on the bezel) do not reach the switch. you can test this by removing that part (where the power ON button is) and pressing directly on the switch.

usually the power button has neighbors, other buttons that does other functions. try the neighboring buttons if they can work as a power ON button.

Re: Can not start

The LED of indicator the power are ON but the power seems not go to the bios to load the program....So,I think this is not because of the Power switch problem....

Thank you.

Re: Can not start

Try reseating your RAM modules. On some computers there is an onboard RAM DMM slot underneath the keyboard.

But the need to press the power button repeatedly to POST tells me it could be a power problem. Can your computer charge the battery sufficiently? If it can then it's not the power supply.

-- so you mean each time you power ON, the LED turns ON but you do not get a boot up or a POST every time (nothing on screen, not even a blinking cursor)? If so, try to hook up an external monitor and see if you get something on the screen.

Thank you.
