My HP dv1049 is Possessed
I have a weird issue with my laptop. Whenever I am in the US it works fine, No problems. About once or twice a year I go to Asia. While in the Philippines, for no reason it will shutdown when I am not using it and be stone dead. I can push the power button no lights. I have taken the battery out, then plugged directly into with the power supply, still dead. When I came back to the US.. it worked fine. So I take another trip there, the same thing happens. The only thing I could think of was the humidity there. So I used a hair dryer on it for a while and it would start back up.
So I assume it has something to do with the high humidity there. Does anyone know of a solution for my problem without throwing it away?? Thank you in advance |

Re: My HP dv1049 is Possessed
If it makes you feel any better you are not the first & certainly not the last person this happens to.
Other than buying a carrying case , which is what I have for those humid times , that specializes in controlling humidity you will need that hair dryer.
