Is it possible (reasonable) to burn an OS into eprom?
I want to make my notebook start faster....yes, OK, I am one of those people that can never be satisfied with something. to my way of thinking there is GOT to be a way to tweak something to make it better in one way or another. I was thinking that if I could burn an OS into a chip and pop it into the notebook I would have close to instant on response. Is this possible? feasible (without having to knock over fort knox)?
I am experimenting now with Linux and will soon be installing it onto the harddrive of my notebook. I was also thinking that an OS on a chip would be less susceptible to viruses. |
