hard disk drive

i have a dell cpi d266xt laptop with pentium ii-266, system memory 128mb, video memory 2mb when i turn it on the message '' primary hard disk drive 0 not found no bootable device(s) selected, i have used the laptop, albeit not for a while, nothing has been removed from the laptop and the batteries are fully charged, please can anyone help? pleeeeeease

Your hard drive might have sliped out from its connection pins. Check you bios and see if it has a Hard disk detected in there.

could be the hard drive. try removing it and put it back on at least 2 to 3 times to help clean the connectors. if ever the error stays the same, consider replacing the hard drive.
