Toshiba AC problems

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite which I bought in 2004. Right now the issue is I can't get the battery charge. I've turned it off, plugged in the AC adapter but I have to wiggle the cord and the lights go on and off...it's like the connection can't stay long enough to charge the battery. I bought a new AC adapter thinking this on might be broken...but I have the same "wiggle" issue with that one.

What's the deal and is this going to cost a fortune to fix? Thanks for any help!

Hi scwritinglady,

check your DC jack/connector it may be broken... usually you can have this fixed or you can buy a new DC jack and solder it into place.

Have you tried plugging the ac adapter on a different socket?
