External Monitor Problems
Hey Guys
I busted my laptop screen,..so now I am trying to connect it to an external monitor However, when I do so...i see the windows screen and right before the logon screen the laptop switches back to the orignal screen I tried using the toggle screen button..but nothing happens And since my original screen is not working..I cant change the settings Any help would be appreciated Thanks! |

Hi,
I believe there is a Function key that could switch it back to monitor. Check your users guide. For IBM Thinkpads, it is Fn + F7.

Ya I tried using those buttons
But still nothing.. except... when i run my pc in safe mode...i successfully get it to work..but when i go to change the display settings and enable the second monitor...i cant do soo..bescause: I only see one monitor in the settings tab of display properties...and I cant find the option of enabling external monitor anywhere |

download the video drivers and install them. get the ones from your laptop maker's website.
