Combining 2 laptops?
My sister and I had identical laptops. She spilled something on hers, and fried her mobo. Is there any way I could 'combine' the laptops? Everything is fine in mine, and everything but the mobo is fine in the other one. She already has a new computer, so I can do whatever I want with the 'broken' one. I don't care if it's bulky, ugly, etc. Maybe dual monitors, 2x ram, etc.? They're both HP Pavillion dv600t's.
Thanks in advance! |

Re: Combining 2 laptops?
Hi,
hmmm interesting idea. may be what you can do is to make use of her ram. if you still have an available slot, then you can use her ram in your laptop. same for the battery if they are still working. for the lcd, i really doubt it because of the connectors which as of now i have not seen a laptop with 2 display connectors on the motherboard. if you mean to use the lcd like an external monitor, my answer would be that it is not possible. mainly what you can do is use hers as a spare (spare LCD, spare optical drive, etc.) so when something goes wrong with yours, you can swap it with hers anytime.
