Question Blank monitor

i am having similer issues and would also like to know how to fix it

i just put in a new motherboard(original model, my old one broke] i put the videocard and all the other things on the M board, and now when i turn it on it powers up but nothing shows up onscreen, i even tried plugging a regular moniter in but still nothing.



im asuming its the videocard but im not sure.
ATI 7000 radeon 32mb video card

Try clearing the cmos and see if that solves your issues.

If this is a new motherboard, it is possible that the motherboard is DOA. Ive had this issue before when I built my last system. Turns out my motherboard was dead.

i have no idea how to clear cmos <.<

its a dell inspiron 5100 notebook
128MB, 266MHz DDR DIMM RAM
pentium 4 proceser

check your connections to the screen and backlight
if you don't mention it is a laptop you will on most occasions receive instructions for a desktop
you need to up the ram to a min of 512mg
does the video share the ram reseat the video card
