don't know what's wrong with laptop

my computer, when i start windows xp normally and log in with password and all that comes up is that "error message where it says debug, send or don't send."the only way to start it up with internet is in safe mode with networking. ive tried virus protection and spyware remover. it has been like this for a week or two. my friedn says that i might need to get some professional help. but i would like to keep the money and be able to fix it myself.

PLEASE HELP ME!!

try doing a system restore to a date just prior to the problem.
