Revisiting the Standby Problem with Toshiba laptop
Following on from a much earlier post from another member about the Median Digital Notebook not allowing a laptop (or PC?) to go into stand-by mode, I am having the same problem.
I thought that the solution offered solved the problem but as I feared, the 'switch off' only lasts until I shut down. Is there any way to make this permanent? My DH (who is the one who loaded the Median Digital Notebook stuff onto my laptop) tried removing the programme, but in the process it also removed part of the aol start up. When he reloaded it aol was OK again, but I am left with needing to manually switch off the unwanted 'WTservice' at each start up. Any ideas anyone? |
