EI System 3085 - Audio Device / Drivers.
Hi.
My 1st post here, so be nice ;) I'm rebuilding the above laptop that has been given to a friend, it's not been the smoothest of rides anyway, but I'm nearly there. The problem I have is that I have no sound. Device Manager doesn't show a problem with the audio device, and if I Update Driver it says it has the best device already. I've got the AC97 driver from thetechguys.com (where I got most of the other drivers from) but this has no success when installed. I've hunted around & all I can find is people saying these lappies aren't that great. If anyone can assist / point me in the right direction i'd be thankful. When I re-installed XP Home did the Chipset driver install 1st, and then started working thru the rest, but this audio device just won't play the game. Cheers in advance.. Ad |
