OS: windows vista home premium


shutting down on dell inspirion

Every other time I shut down my computer it idles for 10 minutes and then I give up and manually shut it down. Not sure why this is happening.

Also with some other programs they will not shut down even when I use task manager to shut them down. This is a brand new laptop.
