HP DV1000 wireless not detected

Hi there. 2 weeks ago i turned on my laptop and now it says that the wireless adapter cannot be found. I talked to HP and they gave me drivers to install, but it still does not find my wireless. Anybody have any ideas? I'm confused and have no clue what else to do. Thanks

I was also told that maybe something has come loose inside the computer to cause the wireless to not work?
