Hardware problem?

When I boot up my Toshiba laptop I noticed that the start up button turns green instead of blue and I cannot get to the Windows XP OS. Instead I get a bios password request. What to do?

You need the password for it to work right.

Yes, It's asking for password. I have never had to do this before, at least not this kind of password

Can you make sure no one use your laptop before? Try to check back, maybe your friend trying to playing prank on you

I'm sorry, but the only advice we can offer is to clear CMOS.
If that doesn't help you have to contact Toshiba.
