Hp Pavilion zv6000 processor switch

Hello,
Ive been doing some research and found out that it is in fact quite possible to replace the processor in my laptop. However in my attempts to find this information, I was not able to find a suitable upgrade to my processor. I am not sure if there is a higher form in the AMD Athlon 64 series available, but I thought I would ask. If so where might I find one for purchase, and would you have any tips before taking this leap. I wouldnt mind upgrading my video chipset as well (ATI Radeon Mobility 200M). Thank you for your time.

Re: Hp Pavilion zv6000 processor switch

You could possibly put an AMD mobile athlon 64 4000 but you can not upgrade your video chipset it is soldered to your mainboard, you might find the athlon 64 4000 on ebay but make sure it is the mobile version or it might not work, hope this helps.this is the address to the service manual
