Re: evo n600c memory upgrade
You said it reduced the speed of your laptop after installing/adding RAM. This may be true if the RAM bought (especially USED from eBay). Since you cannot too sure which RAM stick is failing or is affecting the speed of your laptop (most esp. if you have 2 or more RAM modules installed.
My recommendation (you can choose which one to do first): 1. Remove the 'new' RAM and run Memtest86+ on the old RAM module. Run at least 3 passes. This usually takes an hour or two. Check for errors. 2. Remove the old RAM and run Memtest86+ on the new RAM. Run at least 3 to 4 passes (1.5 to 2 hours). Check for errors. |

Re: evo n600c memory upgrade
Remove battery, switch off any power. Now underneath laptop remove 2 screws holding a debit size cover. There you will find memory, ease them up to 45 degree angle and pull apart gently the retaining clip on the top one, now pull out the memory. Same again with bottom one. Now replace memory bottom one first make sure the side clips hold it in place, then do the top one. replace cover, then replace battery and try laptop. If it fails put back one of old ones using Same procedure and try again. then put 2nd one in again using same procedure. Good Luck ps ALWAYS TAKE OUT BATTERY AND POWER OFF TO CHANGE MEMORY.
