Question DVD-RW Drive Shows 'Filled' But Isn't- How Fix This?

Have new Acer 5050 Notebook w/ Windows Vista Home Premium. Installed a new printer driver (when got new printer). Both work, but when checked the DVD-RW drive, it shows 100% space is used. This cannot be right. Asked Acer, got ridiculous answer in Greek (not literally, but could have been for all it helped). I am looking for really basic wording to help correct this. Thanks muchly.//

P.S. If I am in the wrong forum, please advise (that's how green I am to all
this)!

Hi Cecile5rbo!!

Welcome to TSF

Don't worry, you're on the right forum here

Did you get that after inserting a blank DVD? Can you try to post screenshot of the drive here. Refer to this article:

Re: DVD-RW Drive Shows 'Filled' But Isn't- How Fix This?

Hi to you, too, bhahar84, and thanx for your kind input. There have been new developments since my post: have learned that the DVD I was trying to import into MovieMaker was blank (who knew?), so the issue now is to buy a new camcorder that has "plug-it-into-my-computer" capability with which I can import homemade video into MovieMaker. So the new question is a) which camcorder is the best for showing on national TV, and b) should I choose IE 1394 Firewire cable or USB plug? BTW, how did you end up in Malaysia (love the photo)? Thanks again for your time/info!

Ok, glad to hear you managed to isolate the cause of the problem

Usually, the camcorder that came with USB is better, as it is already common nowadays to use the USB-based devices . Otherwise you can also get a camcorder that came with both of the functionality

About me? I'm a Malaysia resident, that's why I end up here
