Override the headphone jack.
I need to know if there is any setting, program, or function that will allow me to override my laptop's setting to turn off the speakers when headphones are plugged in.
Here's why. I'm creating a new case for my laptop and I need to move the headphone jack. I have a short headphone extension cable that will run on the inside of the case from the front of the laptop to the side (where I want the new headphone jack to go.) This extension cable will be sealed inside the laptop and I won't be able to unplug it, thus overriding the speakers. I would still like to be able to choose if I want to use speakers or headphones. Is there any program that will let me choose which I want to use? The laptop is a Gateway MX3228 running windows XP sp2. Last edited by redhandfilms; 01-30-2008 at 12:59 PM. |
