Keyboard problems

a question about my hp notebook dv9581ee keyboard with windows vista home premium 32bit .
my enhanced keyboard types every key correctly but when i turn off the num lock and then back on the keybord when i start typing L it types 3 m=0 p=* its like my keyboard is standard, but when i use the num lock from the on screen keyboard program (on or off) in the accessories menu it works well and types everything correctly.

That is normal, the numlock is using the normal letter keys as numbers. Turn the numlock back off to correct the problem.

10x for helping me but when i turn on my laptop the num lock is already on and i can type those letters the L and the M correctly but when i turn it off and back on those letters starts to type the numbers and i dont know if u considered that my laptop got the full keybord map.

What happens if you just leave the numlock the way it is when you turn on your laptop? Does everything work OK?

What problems would you face if you did that rather than turning it off and on?

i dont face any problem but i want to make sure if it is a harware problem or maybe a driver problem or just a normal thing.

To be honest I'm not sure. But if it works fine without you playing around with it then leave it like it is.
