how to assign Fn combo, external keyboard, Acer 3004
well the keyboard connector to motherboard is broken, so purchased an external keyboard but don't know which combo to use to control sound which is Fn + F7 and all other function.anyone can help? i've been googling for over an hour and no instruction anywhere
i can't have the internal keyboard fix ..too expensive for my budget |

If you have been inside the laptop then I would offer a suggestion. If it is the little clip that holds the ribbon in then very carefully glue the ribbon to the clip and then to the M/board. If the ribbon is torn/broken forget what I just said.

this is what the tech told me " the clip is broken and cannot be removed from motherboard.....the ribbon was glued to a black strip ( very very small) which slid on to the connector...that clip is what he says is broken that this black little strip should have remain attached to the connector..he said that to ship to Acer and to have it repaired would be in the $400.00
