[SOLVED] No sound
Hi i really hope some one can help me.
I have freshly installed laptop with windows XP, but I can't seem to get the drivers for the soundcard installed properly. I have tried the disc that came with the computer and I have tried to download drivers from the realtek website and compals website. The system is a Zartego IFT00 The motherboard is an Intel Crestline-pm pm965 The soundcard is a Realtek ALC268 I have checked the BIOS to see if I could deactivate the onboard sound, but there next to no possibilities for adjusting anything in the Phoenix bios. Can anyone explain how come i can't install the driver or even better come up with a solution? Thanks |

Re: No sound
Need to have chipset drivers installed before the sound drivers.
A sound driver you can try is http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads...83_2K/XP_.html Do you get any error message while installing the drivers? chipset drivers from here http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-025753.htm Last edited by vikramsingha; 12-24-2007 at 10:19 AM. |

Re: No sound
Merry Christmas
I went to compals website because intel didn't supply all drivers for the motherboard. The laptop came without operating system. I have tried installing both the chipset drivers and the sound driver you have supplied vikram but none of them solves the problem. I don't get any errors, when trying to install. The setup just finishes and I am stuck with a pci-device in the devicemanager. |
