IBM Thinkpad 760ED won't recognize memory
I have an IBM Thinkpad 760ED that won't recognize any memory beyond the 8MB base memory. How do I get it to see the added memory module?

Re: IBM Thinkpad 760ED won't recognize memory
These machines are very picky about what type of Ram they use. It must be exactly the correct type not a cheaper type with the same specs.
4x64-60ns, 144p SO DIMM, 3.3v, EDO(64 meg chip maximum on this machine is 72 megs) Last edited by belfasteddie; 12-23-2007 at 09:52 AM. |

Re: IBM Thinkpad 760ED won't recognize memory
Thanks for the help. I have some old modules that fit, but I noticed that they are not 144 pin. They are 88 pin. I have one board that has 144 pin modules on it. I will try that one and see what happens. Thanks!!!
