DVD Burner for Toshiba A75-S226
Hello.I'm hoping that someone can recommend an aftermarket DVD Burner-DVD Ram drive for my A75-S226.The NEC/Optiarc AD-5540a is an option,but it does not support DVD-Ram.The problem is that these laptops are picky as to master/slave/csel.The NEC is the only one I have found that can be switched via firmware flash.My A75 has the dvd drive located on the secondary channel drive "o" "master".Pioneer makes a slot load which I really like and i've read good things about Liteon and some others.BUT,no mfgr website tells what the factory settings are for any drives.So,I hope someone has some experiance with an aftermarket drive and can recommend some possible options.Any help would be greatly appreciated.THANKS.
