Acer laptop cold start trouble

Hi, I have an Acer 1520WMLI laptop wich ran fine for about 3 years.
In the last month it began with trouble booting up when left off overnight.
At first it would boot after a second retry by powering off and on again.
This however got worse and worse. This morning it took 15 powercyles to get it working.
If it is on everything is working fine. I can reboot with no trouble.
I took it apart last weekend and cleaned the fan and rest of the system to no avail. No visible damage present.
It gives no clue whats wrong when it happens because the screen stays black. No bios beeps. It checks the system because i can see the DVD drive being checked. But then it stops responding completely. I cant get to the bios screen at that time, it doesn't seem to be that far yet.

Does anybody have any clue where to look for this?
