Acer Aspire 5100 Pink text

I purchased my laptop 11 months and 15 days ago and today I have turned on 80% of the text on the screen is pinkish. The computer logs in ok (windows XP) and gets to the desktop screen ok but much of the text has a pink tinge and is very difficult to read. Which ever screen I open the problem is apparent. Should I return to shop, is this a known virus that I can cure or is there an incorrect setting in the graphcs area?

Is the text only pink after you log in? Is it only black text that turns pink?

Thanks for your replies. The text is purple/pink and makes everything very difficult to read after the windows log in screen ie desktop.
