Roll Eyes [SOLVED] Blurry Images and Fonts

Hi all,

I have connected my computer yesterday with a projector to show my powerpoint presentation. But when I opened my laptop at home, the images and the fonts of the windows look blurry and large. It looks like zoomed.

I tried to push all the buttoms like Fn F10 but it got worse. I tried to check the setup through personlize option (Windows color and appearance) to minimize the size but now looks shrink.

I talked to online customer support for Sony and they suggested me to download the following driver : Video:nVIDIA® GeForce® Go 7400 Graphics Controller Driver which I already have.

My problem remains the same and I cant find the solution. Please help.

Laptop Model: Sony, VAIO. VGNSZ420N
OS:Windows Vista Business

Re: Blurry Images and Fonts

Hi,

It sounds like the screen resolution adjusted for the projector but did not adjust back. You probably do not need to touch the driver.

Right click on the desktop and select NVIDIA Control Panel. Then select Change resolution and move the slider to the right until it is at 1280 x 800. Then click Apply and post back if that works.

Re: Blurry Images and Fonts

Hi TheMatt,

Thank you so much. I did it and the images look fine and normal now. But the size of the font and the icons still small. I guess I did some changes while I was trying to fix the problem.

I right clicked on the desktop and I chose personalization and then I chose Adjust font size DPI and I chose the large scale but the font became too big.( it was on defult 96 scale)

How can I fix the size in this case?

Please help.

I am not exactly sure what you are describing. Please post a screenshot. Use this thread to help you out. To actually take the screenshot of the Window, press ALT+PRINT SCREEN. To take a screenshot of the entire display, press PRINT SCREEN.

Please find the attachment of my desktop screenshot. The size of the icons and the font are very small and they were not like that before.

I hope its clearer now.

Re: Blurry Images and Fonts

That looks like its normal. If you want the icons and fonts bigger, go to Display Properties and then go to the Appearance tab. There you can configure various theme sizes. You can increase the icon size by clicking the Effects... button and selecting Use Large Icons.
