Ok so i have a Dell D600 is there any upgrades i can do to this computer. I am already getting more ram (upgrading from 512 to 1-2g not sure yet). I want to make this computer a close to decent gaming computer. So is there anything i can do to upgrade it.

Re: upgrade help

If I remember correctly, the d600 is a laptop, right?

If so, then really the only upgrade you can do is memory.

Re: upgrade help

Yeah as said before Ram is the only real upgrade, or course Hard drives and CPU's can also be upgraded in some cases. But the Ram will offer a significant performance increase.

Re: upgrade help

Hard drive not really, cpu is quite possible to give a small boost. Does your laptop contain a Pentium M 1.3 Ghz? Depending which voltage version it is, you could possibly upgrade to a Pentium M 1.7Ghz, but doing so your also causing alot more heat which is a big problem for notebooks. What games were you considering playing? With the Graphics card in your notebook 'ATi 9000' your pretty limited performance wise.
