I have a hp pavilion zv5000 laptop and recently reinstalled windows xp (yesterday). I am used to using my touchpad to scroll down web pages and it has stopped working. I went into control panel under mouse and there is no place to change any touchpad settings. However, I can still use my touchpad to 'click' on things. Also, if my mouse cursor isnt way out of the way, the cursor will jump into what I have already typed randomly and resume typing whatever I am saying there. Please help, it is driving me insane! Thanks in advance.

Re: touchpad help
Hi
Welcome to the forum. Try this link: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...385148&lang=en Download the mouse driver for the touchpad. Seeing you did a reinstall you should go to your device manager and see if there are any other driver errors Hope this helps. Thanks, Bill |
