built-in mic doesn't work
I have a HP pavillion dv1000, and it has a built-in microphone/webcam combo. recently there was a power surge that resulted in a corrupted hard drive, and after I got the HD replaced, the microphone no longer works. I already searched through the forum and tried the advice in http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/laptop-support/166704-solved-microphones-_.html, but it didn't work.
I'm not sure what the information is on the mic, or how to find it, for that matter.
