OS: XP service pack 2 build 2600

My DVD burner has switched to a DVD/CD-drive

My current computer is: Microsoft Windows XP Professional Service pack 2. It was Vista home premium.
Motherboard: Acer Aspire 5100-357
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 MB 3500+ 939 512K R
Memory: 1GB with 256 dedicated to Video card
Video Card: ATI Radeon Xpress 1100

I recently downgraded my laptop operating system from Vista Home Edition to Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2.

I was using Interview winDVD 3 to burn a home movie and I could not burn the DVD. The DVD come up as a blank CD. I then went to "my computer" and my DVD burner was now a DVD-ROM/CD drive.

When I had vista, my dvd burner was working just fine.

I need help solving this problem
