Re: Playing DVD's on acer
Check the CDs that came with your laptop and different directories in your Program Files folder because I remember seeing an installer for Arcade somewhere. What error do you get in VLC?

Re: Playing DVD's on acer
Hello, you will have to install DVD playing software like CYBERLINK or POWER DVD or so on as VLC player and WMP cannot decompress the DVD flies. I think there is a free dvd playing programe called cliprex and can be found at www.cliprex.com
Thank you, Simon |

Re: Playing DVD's on acer
Actually VLC has a DVD MPEG-2 decoding codec in it so it can play DVDs. I suspect it may be something else.

Re: Playing DVD's on acer
VLC player will play ISO files plus BIN files plus most data files but will not play a DVD disk in the any physical optical drive.
Please install DVD playing software and reply for professional help. Simon |
