I have a zv6000 hp laptop. It wont load windows. If i try in safe mode, it loads the drivers, then stops. I tried to reload OS, it gets to windows setup, then stops. Its out of warranty. Any ideas?

Re: zv6000 wont load windows
It could be the area your laptops in thats causing the problem...
I have a zv6270us laptop. I tried re-installing my OS the first time and it shut down on me three times. I called a friend of mine about it, she asked that i put a few books under the laptop so that the fans under can get as much air as possible. Fortunately, it worked for me. I cant give you any guarantee that this will work, but its the only thing that comes to my mind at the moment.

Re: zv6000 wont load windows
Hello,
It sounds like you may have faulty memory. When booting up a windows installation CD does it crash at different times and do you ever get a blue screen? It may also be a heating problem. Make sure the fan is working. It should start at soon as the laptops turned on and then it will proberly go off after 2-3 seconds after this. Simon |
