Replacing/Fixing Laptop Fan?
My computer started overheating and forcing itself to shut down recently. I already called gateway support, and I am under warrenty, but the overall repair time will likely drag into the early December, maybe later. I can do this, but I'm a college student, and would rather not be without it near finals.
I'm almost certain the fan is the problem. For one, I can't feel any air or hear anything (there was no gradually dying sound, it was just out one day). The computer hits 80 degrees celsius rather regularly. So is there any simple way to replace this, as well as with preferably cheapish parts? For the record, the model is a gateway M-6816. I can provide any other data if needed. Sorry if this topic is a repeat, searched and didn't find any exact answer. |
