[SOLVED] inspiron 5160 won't take a charge
I have a Dell Inspiron 5160 and it started not charging up a couple of weeks ago!
Before that the battery charging light wouldn't come on all the time and the battery was picky about when it would charge! well finally it just quit on me! I changed the DC power jack hoping that would change the problem but it didn't! What should I do? Please help! I'm about ready to throw this thing away! |

Re: inspiron 5160 won't take a charge
Well i think this is a dell problem.
http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-support/laptop-support/189884-dell-inspiron-5160-wont-turn-respond.html That is a link to another person on this site that i think is having the same problem as you. Same laptop so I am going with keep calling Dell. At some point they have to do something. |

Thanks! I went to the forum on Dell and I went through the steps of checking what was wrong and they said I have to change the motherboard! I don't want to do that because I no longer have a warrenty and it will cost more to change that then to buy a new laptop! |
